That look in your eyes is all the poetry I’ll ever need.
“A barnacle’s more likely to get up and walk away than I am.”

“Oh, but she looks like such a frail thing. Fine, like bone china – I’m scared she’ll break if I touch her”
“China, you say ? More like tempered steel. I’d keep an eye out for that one if I were you, miss. She’s pretty to look at, but tougher than nails.”

I was knocked down by the vastness
and impossibility of the universe
and never wanted to get up
because on my back,
I had a perfect view of the stars.

On days like today, when everything that could possibly go wrong has, I remind myself to remember the little things that make me happy.
